Quebec, November 30, 2017- Today, Mr. Stéphane Billette, Minister of Small and Medium Enterprises of Québec received Cuban First Deputy Foreign Minister, Mr. Marcelino Medina González, who is paying an official visit to Canada.
In the cordial talks both officials ratified the good state of the bilateral relations and assessed the progress made in the relationships with the Province of Quebec. They also highlighted the prospects for strengthening the ties between Cuba and this Canadian province, stressing that Cuba could learn from Quebec´s experience as the island updates its economic model, particularly, the cooperative sector.
Some Quebec cooperative representatives shared their knowledges and expressed their willingness to cooperate with Cuba in order to advance the relations in this area.
While in Québec, Cuba First Deputy Foreign Minister is expected to meet with the President of the National Assembly, the Lieutenant Governor, the Deputy Foreign Minister of International Relations and La Francophonie, among other provincial high-level officials.
