Nigeria, July 27th, 2023.- The Cuban designated ambassador, Miriam Morales Palmero, participated in a meeting organized by the Nigerian Council of Arts and Culture, in order to finalize the details for the 16th International Exhibition of Art and Crafts 2023, which will take place next September in Abuja, for which Cuba was invited.
During the ceremony, Mr. Otunba Segun Runsewe, Director General of the Nigerian National Council for Arts and Culture, welcomed a large group of diplomatic representatives from different countries and Nigerian culture. From Latin America, in addition to Cuba, Argentina, Colombia, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Mexico and Venezuela were present.
The event is held annually, in which numerous national and international intellectuals converge. It has also proven to be a propitious space that allows establishing cultural ties between the participating countries and with Nigeria, which regularly presents cultural manifestations of its 36 states and the Capital.
In the year 2022, the Cuban stand was one of the most visited, due to the samples presented on music, painting, traditional costumes and food presented. Cuba was awarded for its exhibition of traditional food, it was in high demand.
