Cuba participates in the 41st Assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organization.

The 41st Assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organization is taking place in the city of Montreal, Canada, the first one in person after two years, following COVID-19. The Cuban delegation participating in this event is headed by Armando Daniel López, President of the Institute of Civil Aeronautics of Cuba.

During the Assembly, different topics of importance for civil aviation were discussed. A recurring theme was the role of ICAO in the development of safe and sustainable aviation, with a greater commitment to care for the environment, as well as the implementation of measures to comply with the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions and the recovery of civil aviation.

In its statement, the Cuban delegation denounced the commercial, economic and financial blockade imposed by the government of the United States against our country, which hinders Cuba's development in all areas, especially in the field of civil aviation.

In addition, the president of the IACC ratified Cuba's commitment to the principles of the ICAO since its foundation in matters of aviation safety and security.
