Cuba participates in the "Nigeria Culture Extra 2022" Conference

Nigeria, March 1, 2022.- Cuban ambassador to this country, Clara M. Pulido Escandell, participates in a conference "Nigeria Culture Extra 2022" dedicated to salsa, as a musical genre.

Organized by the company Mediam Arts and Reinvented Sounds, they presented songs dedicated to the "History of Salsa, such as the one entitled: "A Nigerian Perspective for the Convergence and Resurgence of Culture", defended by Professor Phillip Afaha, director of the Institute of Legislative Studies and Dr. Emem Olutoke, professor of Sociology of Dance and Development in Performing Arts, both from the University of Abuja.It also had, among its panelists, figures who love Cuban dances and rhythms.

During the event, the Cuban diplomat had the opportunity to refer to the African roots in Cuban culture and in the people, as well as the existing historical links.
