Higher education is a social public good, a human and universal right and a duty of the State, affirmed Cuba's Minister of Higher Education, José Ramón Saborido, during the virtual meeting with counterparts as part of the "Voice of the Global South" Summit, organized by India. The Minister participated in the panel on education at the Summit and ratified that Cuba, as President of the Group of 77 + China, has proposed to defend universal access to inclusive, equitable and quality education as an engine for development. He also highlighted the role of human resources training in the development of countries.
The event is organized by India and brings together for 2 days representatives from 120 developing countries from Africa, Latin America and Asia, with the theme "Unity of voice, unity of purpose".
