Cuba present at the celebrations for International Workers' Day in Nigeria.

Nigeria, May 1st, 2023.- The Cuban ambassador to Nigeria, Clara M. Pulido Escandell, was invited to participate, along with representatives of the accredited Diplomatic Corps, in the celebrations for International Workers' Day on May 1. Event organized by the Nigerian trade union movement - the Nigerian Labor Congress and the Trade Union Congress - in Abuja's Eagle Square.

In recent years, this workers' meeting has become a platform where solidarity and friendship towards the Cuban people have been ratified, while the genocidal blockade maintained by the United States against Cuba has been condemned.

During the event, the Cuban diplomat said on her social networks: "Every May 1st, the Presidents of the NLC and the TUC make a joint statement in the workers' parade in Nigeria and, as every year, they denounce the blockade and request its end ”.

At the same time, at the headquarters of the Cuban embassy in Abuja, the group of the diplomatic mission joined the celebration of such an important day for all workers, with an act of Revolutionary Reaffirmation, where the commitment to continuity with our Revolution was patented, worthy of , altruistic and paradigmatic, in the spirit of Cuban diplomacy, grateful for the legacy of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro, attached to the ideals of socialism, solidarity, brotherhood among peoples, social justice and the right to self-determination.
