Cuba present at cultural events in the Indian state of Kerala.

The Cuban Ambassador to India, Alejandro Simancas Marin, attended as guest of honor at the inauguration of the National Library Congress, held in Konnur, a city in the Indian state of Kerala. The event was attended by the Chancellor of the University of Konnur, Rupinath Ravindra, the President of the event and member of the Indian Parliament V. Sivadasan, as well as local authorities.

In their speeches, they highlighted the special relations of solidarity and friendship between Cuba and the state of Kerala, as well as the example set by the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, and Ernesto Che Guevara.

For his part, the Cuban diplomat thanked the expressions of solidarity and reiterated the will to continue strengthening Cuba's ties with India and Kerala.

In another moment of his visit, the Ambassador, together with the authorities of the city of Bakel, also in Kerala, participated in the opening of the International Festival of Culture and in his speech he conveyed Cuba's message of friendship.
