On Saturday, July 21, the celebration of Latin American Heritage Month took place at the City Hall of Ottawa, where the member countries of GRULA Canada showed the cultural richness of Our America to those present.
The event was presided over by Mark Sutcliffe, Mayor of the City of Ottawa and Algonquin Elder Claudette Commanda, who thanked the Latin American embassies for their participation and for showing the most autochthonous aspects of their cultures.
As part of the celebration, the Mayor presented the Heads of Mission with the proclamation of Latin American Heritage Month in the City of Ottawa.
For its part, the Cuban stand was dressed up during the day, where the #CubaÚnica campaign was promoted, as well as the history, culture and traditions of our nation.
