Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba reiterates its resolute and unwavering adherence to the "one China" principle and recognizes Taiwan as an inalienable part of China's territory, in light of the attempts by secessionist forces and external actors to capitalize on this issue to undermine the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the People's Republic of China, interfere in its internal affairs, and undermine regional and international peace and security.
Cuba’s position is consistent with United Nations General Assembly Resolution 2758 of October 25, 1971, and with the position of the overwhelming majority of the international community that officially recognizes the People's Republic of China as the sole legitimate representative of all Chinese people.
Cuba further recognizes and supports the Chinese government's efforts to achieve national reunification.
