Cuba reiterates the will to continue strengthening its historic relations with Trinidad and Tobago.
Port of Spain, June 6.- Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rogelio Sierra Díaz, successfully concluded his work visit to Trinidad and Tobago. The Cuban diplomat had the opportunity to dialogue about the dynamic economic and trade relation between both countries. The results of this relationship have made of this Caribbean island one of Cuba’s main trade partners in the entire region of Latin America and the Caribbean.
This visit brought the possibility to express gratitude for the unwavering support that Trinidad and Tobago has given to Cuba’s struggle to eliminate the blockade. It was also the propitious occasion to reiterate Cuba’s commitment to the Association of Caribbean States (ACS) and its revitalization process, and to convey the will to continue contributing to the cooperation programs in the areas of disaster risk reduction and addressing climate change.
