Cuba represented at the "Monrovia Day" celebrated in the capital of Liberia.

Monrovia, February 16, 2021 - At the invitation of the Mayor of the Liberian capital Hon. Jefferson T. Koijee, Cuba participated in the celebration of "Monrovia Day" represented by the Head of Mission of the Caribbean island in the West African country Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera.

The central activity took place at the Monrovia City Hall and witnessed an influx of members and officials of the three branches of the Monrovia city government including the Executive headed by the city mayor, the Legislature consisting of eight council members and the Judiciary headed by the Monrovia judge.

At the celebration, Mayor Jefferson T. Koijee read his State of the City message to the residents and people of Monrovia, highlighting progress and challenges for the year under review, and further presented his program plans and outlook for the coming year.

The occasion was propitious to exchange with the officials of the Mayor's office, who admire Cuba and the Cubans.
