Cuba showed achievements at the 1st World Congress of Digestive Endoscopy ENDO 2017, held in India.

New Delhi, February 20, 2017. The Cuban delegation, made up of Ph.D. scientists Felipe Neri Piñol Jimenez and Raul A. Brizuela Quintanilla, presented the achievements of the Cuban National Program in Gastroenterology at the 1st Endo World Congress of Endoscopic Digestive Endoscopy 2017 From 16 to 19 February in the state of Hyderabat, India with the presence of foreign delegations from five continents.

During the event, the Cuban delegation presented 3 posters on the  Endoscopy treatment of bilioopancreatic diseases in children; the immuno expression P53 in high degree of dysplasia colon adenomas from cholecystectomized Cuban patients and with cholelithiasis; as well as a Clinical Picture of patients with Barrett`s esophagus and different grades of dysplasia. This important works revealed the high training of the Cuban specialists and the novel techniques that our country uses in the diagnosis and treatment of the premalignant lesions. All this, despite the unjust Economic and Commercial Blockade to which our country is still subject.

The event was sponsored by the World Organization of Endoscopy (WEO) and the Asian Institute of Gastroenterology (AIG), to stimulate international exchanges and the introduction of the most innovative endoscopic techniques and best practices among specialists from different countries. .(Cubaminrex/Embacuba India)
