Cuba visits the new headquarters of Culture in Nigeria

Nigeria, September 4, 2023.-The Cuban ambassador, Miriam Morales Palmero, participated in a meeting organized at the Nigerian House of Culture, in order to finalize the details about Cuba's presence at the 16th International Art and Crafts Exhibition 2023, which will take place on the 7th, September 8 and 9 in Abuja.

During the meeting, Mr. Otunba Olusegun Runsewe, General Director of the National Council for Arts and Culture of Nigeria, gave a cordial welcome in which he stated that this visit constituted the first visit by a woman Ambassador to the new headquarters of Nigeria´s culture. This, he noted, would mark a new beginning for exchanges between both countries.

Ambassador Miriam Morales took the opportunity to invite him to participate in the International Conference on African and Afro-American Culture held annually during the month of April in the province of Santiago de Cuba. The moment was conducive to highlight the strong blood ties and unbreakable traditions that exist between the people of Nigeria and Cuba.

On the Cuban side, the Third Secretary of the Cuban Embassy in Nigeria, Ana Flavia Gómez Pavot, was also present.
