Ottawa, April 24, 2022.- Between music and dances was held the fundraising dance coordinated by the Cubacan Kids project. This project responds to the interest of Bill Ryan and other friends from Canada in helping the children of our island, by sending school supplies and other useful items for Elementary and Special Education.
Cubacan Kids is the perseverance of previous projects carried out by Bill Ryan in support of the Cuban people at a time when Cuba's ability to import, even basic necessities, has been severely hampered, due to the tightening of the blockade imposed by the U.S. government on Cuba and after the COVID-19 pandemic.
During the event, musical and sports instruments and school supplies were collected and funds were raised for the project, demonstrating the bonds of love and respect that exist between the two peoples.
The meeting was attended by the Cuban Ambassador-designate Héctor Igarza, who expressed his gratitude to those present for their support to the Cuban people and especially to the Cubacan Kids project for the endless expressions of solidarity with our nation. Other members of the Cuban Embassy in Canada were also present.
