During the exchange, the Cuban diplomat outlined a chronology of the main actions promoted by the government of President Trump against Cuba, that for more than two years has been marked by the continued imposition of restrictive measures and attacks against the Caribbean nation.  In this regard, he made particular mention of the criminal and unconventional actions deployed in recent months by the United States to prevent the supply of fuel to Cuba from various markets, by persecuting the companies that transport it and government of registration and flag flown, which has caused severe effects on the economy and the population.

The diplomat also explained that on November 6 and 7, our country will once again present at the United Nations General Assembly the resolution demanding the end of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States against Cuba that has received  overwhelming support from the international community over the past 27 years.  He added that the blockade is the most unjust, severe and prolonged unilateral sanctions system that has been applied against any country, quantifying the accumulated damages of this harmful policy in more than 138 thousand 843 million dollars.  Finally, he stressed that the blockade continues to be the main obstacle to the development of Cuba and to the progress of the process of updating the Socialist Model of Economic and Social Development that the country has pursued.
