Vienna, April 25, 2023. The Cuban Ambassador to Austria paid a working visit to the city of Graz, in the State of Styria. During his visit, the Ambassador and the Embassy officials who accompanied him held meetings with various sectors of society, including the city authorities.
The courtesy meeting held with the Mayor of the city, Mrs. Elke Khar and the Councilor for Health, Mr. Robert Krotzer, was the most important of the visit. The meeting, held at the City Hall, was a propitious moment to highlight the historical relations of friendship and solidarity that the city has maintained with Cuba.
Topics such as cooperation in the areas of community health, renewable energies, local development projects, among others, were part of the issues discussed at the meeting.
The Cuban Ambassador was invited to sign the Graz Golden Book, an honor given to illustrious visitors to the city.
Graz is the capital city of the State of Styria and the second most populous city in Austria after the capital, Vienna. The city's mayor has been in office since the end of 2021 and is a member of the Communist Party of Austria (KPÖ).
