Accra, August 16, 2023 - Since 1959 Cuba and Ghana have established diplomatic relations and, since 1983, exchanges in the health sector have been established. At present, the two parties are working for their diversification and the Honorable Kwaku Agyeman-Manu, Minister of Health of the Republic of Ghana received H.E. Mrs. Anette Chao Garcia, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to this African country.
Diversifying South-South cooperation is one of the priorities of the two countries which shows the excellent state of relations between them. Cuba thanks the Ghanaian state for its unconditional support in the fight against the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on the Caribbean island.
