The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in India, Alejandro Simancas Marin, presented the commemorative stamp "60th Anniversary of the Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP)" to the Indian Society for Cultural Cooperation and Friendship (ISCUF). The award was granted by this Cuban Institution with the objective of recognizing the associations that are members of the Movement of Solidarity with Cuba, which have maintained an active work in defense of the Cuban Revolution and have contributed to spread the truth about the political, social and economic transformations, as well as to strengthen the bonds of friendship and solidarity between Cuba and India.
In a solemn ceremony held at the Cuban Embassy in New Delhi, the Cuban diplomat handed over the seal to Bijay Kumar Padhihari, Secretary General of ISCUF. The ambassador thanked the active work of this association and its contribution to the strengthening of the friendship between the two peoples.
Other ISCUF leaders residing in various states of India were also present at the meeting.
