New Delhi, March 21, 2022. The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in India, Alejandro Simancas Marín, held a courtesy meeting with the vice-chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru University, Professor Santishree Dhulipudi Pandit, in which opportunities to strengthen bilateral ties were evaluated, as well as to promote cooperation between institutions of higher education, with the aim of promoting the Spanish language and Cuban culture in India.
During the cordial exchange, the historic ties of friendship, solidarity and cooperation that have characterized the relations between Cuba and India for more than 60 years were also highlighted. The role of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro and Ernesto Che Guevara in the development of bilateral ties between the two peoples was also recalled.
