Cuban Ambassador holds fraternal meeting with Former President of the Senate of Grenada. 

Saint George, January 5, 2024.- The Ambassador of Cuba in Grenada Ivette Martínez received Mr. Chester Humphrey, former President of the Senate of Grenada and dear friend of Cuba, at the diplomatic headquarters.
The occasion was propitious to exchange on the historic relations of cooperation with Cuba in the parliamentary and union sphere, as well as the desire to continue deepening them. For her part, the Ambassador thanked the support received by the government of Grenada for the Cuban cause for the lifting of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States Government against Cuba.
During his term as President of the Senate, Chester Humphrey motivated debates about the Cuban reality and sent messages to Esteban Lazo, president of the ANPP, recognizing Cuba's contribution to the world in the confrontation with Covid and the humanitarian work of the Revolution. His ties with Cuba date back to the 1990s when he served as general president of the Technical and Allied Workers Union (TAWU) and former secretary general of the Caribbean Labor Congress (CCL).
