The Cuban Ambassador made a courtesy visit to the Mayor of Dublin.

Dublin, March 12, 2018. The Cuban Ambassador to Ireland Hugo René Ramos Milanes held an interview with Micheál Mac Donncha, Mayor of Dublin. The meeting that took place in the "Mansion House", official residence, took place in a cordial atmosphere, in tune with the diplomatic relations between Ireland and Cuba that will celebrate its 20th anniversary next year.

After welcoming the Cuban Ambassador, Mayor Donncha became interested in having news about Cuba and its efforts to expand its economic-commercial ties on an international scale, in the complex scenario imposed by the US economic blockade suffered by the Island during more than five decades.

Both sides also exchanged views on expanding relations of collaboration between the two countries.

Ambassador Ramos Milanes, thanked for the support the Cuban diplomatic mission has received from the Dublin Authorities for the performance of its duties, and took advantage of the occasion of the upcoming celebration of the St. Patrick's Day, the National Day of Ireland, to convey cordial congratulations and votes of renewed successes to the Mayor's Office, to the citizens of Dublin and to the people of Ireland.
