Cuban Ambassador meet the speaker of the Shura Council

Riyadh, March 30th - The Speaker of the Shura Council of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Abdullah Bin Mohammed Bin Ibrahim Al-Sheikh, received in audience the Ambassador of Cuba, Vladimir Gonzalez, who conveyed greetings of the Speaker of the National Assembly of People's Power, Esteban Lazo Hernandez.

In the meeting, attended by the president of the Saudi-Cuban Parliamentary Friendship Committee, Dr. Ibrahim Mahmoud Al-Nahas, a message from the head of the Cuban legislative power was also delivered to this high-ranking Saudi authority.

The Ambassador expressed to Dr. Al-Sheikh his full willingness to continue working in order to develop and strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, especially in the parliamentary sphere. In this regard, an increase of exchanges between the Commission of International Relations of the National Assembly of People’s Power and the Parliamentary Friendship Committee in the Shura Council will be encouraged.

For his part, Dr. Al-Sheikh stated his confidence that the parliamentary ties between Saudi Arabia and Cuba will continue to grow up with the support of the Cuban Head of Mission and in permanent coordination with the president of the Parliamentary Friendship Committee, in order to fulfill all proposed bilateral projects.

Last January 20th, the Ambassador held a meeting with all the members of the Saudi-Cuban Parliamentary Friendship Committee, which became a valuable and fruitful exchange of information and where the different ways to promote ties between the respective legislative powers were considered.
