NIGERIA, March 15, 2017. On the occasion of the reception offered by the Apostolic Nunciature in Abuja for the Third Anniversary of the Papacy of Francis, Vatican Radio interviewed the Ambassador of Cuba in Nigeria.
The questions were about the meaning of his Pontificate for Cuba and for the world. The Ambassador referred to his constant struggle for justice, his criticisms of oppression and for the dispossessed.
He emphasized the results of Francisco's two visits to Cuba and his recognition of our country as a territory of peace. The Ambassador exemplified the Cuban activities in this field and the identification of the Pope's preaching with Cuba's concepts and principles of peace and disarmament.
