The Cuban Ambassador to Malaysia, Florentino Batista González, offered an interview on Bernama TV about the relations between Cuba and Malaysia, which will reach their 50th anniversary in February 2025.
The Cuban diplomat referred to the importance of Cuba's relations not only with Malaysia but also with ASEAN and, in this regard, stressed the relevance of Malaysia's presidency in that regional organization.
Regarding the collaborations between Cuba and Malaysia, he referred to issues such as possible business opportunities between the two countries, including the development of vaccines and contributions in biotechnology issues for combined efforts with achievements that serve both nations.
In addition, the interview was timely to discuss sustainability, climate change and the need for effort for the future, common challenges that both nations share.
