The Ambassador of Cuba, Pedro L. Despaigne González, was interviewed for the program Diplomatic Affairs of Pan Africa Television, hosted by journalist Harriet Nartey.
The topics addressed in the interview were related to: The bilateral relations and cooperation between Cuba and Ghana; Cuba's progress in the process of obtaining an effective vaccine against the virus that causes the COVID-19 pandemic; Cuba's international medical cooperation and the nomination of the Henry Reeve Contingent for the Nobel Peace Prize; the blockade imposed by the United States government against the Cuban people; the terrorist attack perpetrated against the Cuban embassy in Washington on 30th April, 2020 and the ridiculousness of the inclusion of Cuba in the list prepared by the US State Department of countries that sponsor terrorism; cooperation between ACP countries and Africa within the context of South-South cooperation; as well as the potential of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
