The Indian Economic and Trade Organization (IETO) held on November 25 a business forum with Latin America in the city of Bangalore, capital of the Indian state of Karnataka. The meeting was attended by more than fifty businessmen from the city, considered the main center of high technology in India.
The Cuban Ambassador, Alejandro Simancas Marin, presented the different options for bilateral trade and business with Cuba and exchanged extensively with the attendees, while calling on companies to work together with their Cuban counterparts and develop economic projects of common interest and for the benefit of both countries. He highlighted the regarding of friendship, collaboration and respect, which characterize the relations between both countries and recalled the relevant role played in building these ties by the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, whose death took place exactly six years ago.
Asif Iqbal, President of IETO, presented a summary of the recent participation of the Indian business delegation in the Havana International Fair, as well as the projects they are promoting in sectors such as the biopharmaceutical industry, agriculture and renewable energies.
Bellur Chandrashekharaiah Nagesh, Minister of Education of the State of Karnataka, was also present at the meeting.
