Cuban Ambassador participates at "Science, Technology and Innovation - 2016" Expo in Ulaanbataar

Mongolia, November 23, 2016. - The Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports, Dr J. Batsuuri, inaugurated the "Science, Technology and Innovation - 2016" Expo, celebrating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Organization of Modern Science and the 55th anniversary of the establishment of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences and the "Science Worker's Day".

At the opening ceremony, Cuban Ambassador Raúl Delgado Concepción express gratitude to the Minister for extending thisinvitation and conveyed the congratulations from the Cuban authorities tothe celebration of the "Science Worker's Day" in Mongolia. The Ambassador held a brief meeting with the President of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, Dr. D. Regel, congratulating him on one more anniversary of the prestigious institution he runs. During his tour of the exhibition fair he was also able to talk with Dr. Tsogtbaatar Khishigjav, Director of the Institute of Paleontology and Geology, who presented the most recent scientific discoveries in the field of this institution recognized worldwide.

According to the organizers, the goal of the Expo is to introduce the results of scientific research and innovations of new technologies into industry, create innovation services, improve links between the public and private sectors, and promote the scientific achievements of science in Mongolia. The exhibition was attended by 80 scientific organizations including universities, institutes, laboratories, non-governmental organizations and high-tech companies present in this country.
