On August 9, Rodolfo Benítez Verson presented to His Majesty Letsie III, King of Lesotho, his credentials as Ambassador of Cuba to that African country.
At the ceremony held at the Royal Palace of Maseru, the Basotho monarch thanked the government and people of Cuba for the permanent cooperation with his country in important areas including health, education and sports.
He recognized the excellent work of the Cuban medical brigade based in Lesotho, as well as the facilities provided by Cuba for the preparation of young Basothos in our country in various specialties.
For his part, the Cuban ambassador thanked the continued support of the African Kingdom in the demand for the lifting of the illegal economic and commercial blockade imposed by the government of the United States for more than half a century. He also reiterated Cuba's commitment to continue the bonds of friendship and cooperation that unite our two countries.
