NIGERIA, November 27, 2018. Ambassador Carlos Trejo Sosa received the Cuban delegation from the Ministry of Agriculture in the Residence, who arrived in Nigeria at the invitation of the Governor of the State of Nasarawa, Umaru Tanko Al-makura, in order to conduct an exploratory visit to the territory.
The delegation is headed by José Antonio Buides Cazañas, who is the first specialist in the Direction of International Relations of the mentioned ministry; Jorge Luis Yong Gaitán, Business Director of LABIOFAM; Michel Chong García, researcher of the International Livestock Breeding Center and Ernesto F. Mendoza Mainegra, Head of the Department of Animal Health.
The Cuban Ambassador welcomed them and gave them information about the characteristics of the country. The main theme of the meeting was the interest of the State of Nasarawa in establishing links of collaboration with the Cuban government in different areas of agriculture, because in the present year the Governor made a visit to Cuba where he manifested this particular.
Nasarawa is one of the 36 federal states that make up Nigeria and is located in the center of the country's region. It has a total area of 26,875.59 square kilometers and is made up of thirteen local government areas.
