The Ambassador of Cuba to Ghana, Pedro Luis Despaigne González participated in the central celebration of the May Day Parade carried out in the Black Star Square in Accra.
In the activity, which counted with the participation of the President of the Republic, Nana Dankwa Addo Akufo-Addo, was mentioned the presence of the Cuban diplomat in the words expressed to the audience by Dr. Yaw Baah, Secretary General of the Trades Union Congress (TUC).
The Cuban diplomat was invited to participate in the cocktail performed later on the main event, moment in which through exchanges held with the country's President and the General Secretary of the TUC was demonstrated the strengthen of the ties that unite the Trade Union movements in both countries, as a sign of the ties of friendship between the two countries.
The same day, and in parallel, the First National Vice President of the TUC, Mr. Alexander Nyarko-Opoku was in Cuba as a member of the XII International Brigade May Day 2017.
