Cuban Ambassador to India, Alejandro Simancas Marin, visited on Wednesday the Sushma Swaraj Institute of International Relations of India, where he was received by its Dean Sanjiv Ranjan. Both exchanged on the different areas of cooperation with the Higher Institute of International Relations "Raul Roa Garcia". They also highlighted the friendship and cooperation, which has characterized the historical ties between the two countries and stressed the importance they attach to the collaboration between these institutions as part of the improvement of professional training programs for diplomats of both countries. They recalled with pleasure that, over the course of several years, more than twenty Cuban diplomats have studied in courses and programs offered by the Sushma Swaraj Institute, which has been useful and a sign of bilateral cooperation.
The Sushma Swaraj Institute of International Relations of India is a civil service institution in New Delhi, where Indian Foreign Service officers are trained under the Ministry of External Affairs.
