Cuban Ambassador was welcomed by the deputy governor of Riyadh region

Riyadh, September 11th - The Cuban Ambassador, Vladimir González, was welcomed by the deputy governor of Riyadh region, His Highness Prince Muhammad bin Abdulrahman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, at the headquarters of Riyadh Principality, located in the historic part of the capital city.

During the meeting, the Cuban diplomat thanked the opportunity to be received by His Highness the Prince, and expressed the purpose of establishing working relationships and supporting projects of common interest for the respective countries.

He also congratulated him for the efforts being made in the Saudi capital to preserve its heritage and build new and modern projects within the framework of the strategic Vision 2030, always safeguarding the environment.

For his part, His Highness the Prince thanked the ambassador for his words, while specifying that all the major works being carried out in the capital are under the direction of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City and are supervised by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

The deputy governor assured that his office is willing to receive any collaboration proposal from the Cuban side, through the established channels, for working on bilateral projects, including those of a cultural nature.

On the occasion, the Ambassador recalled the visit made to the Kingdom in 2014 by Dr. Eusebio Leal Spengler who laid the foundations for the relations between the Office of the Historian of Havana City and his Saudi counterpart. Dr. Leal devoted many years of his life to the restoration and conservation of the historic center of the Cuban capital, declared a World Heritage Site since 1982 (EmbaCuba Saudi Arabia)
