Cuban and Bahrain Foreign Ministries held consultation round in Manama

Northern Africa and Middle East Director, Hector Igarza, and Cuban Ambassador Orlando Requeijo meet Bahrain's Minister of Foreign Affairs

Manama, September 12th, 2018.- A delegation from the Cuban Foreign Affairs Ministry, led by Ambassador H.E. Mr. Héctor Igarza Cabrera, Director for North Africa and Middle East Division, visited Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain, as a part of the usual bilateral exchanges of views between the two chanceries.

In the Bahraini Foreign Ministry headquarters, the Cuban delegation, also composed by the Non-Resident Cuban Ambassador to the Kingdom, H.E. Mr. Orlando Requeijo Gual, held a fruitful exchange with H.E. the Bahraini Foreign Minister, Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa; Director of International Organizations Directorate, H.E. Mrs. Fatima Abdulla Al Dhaen; and Director of Americas and Pacific Affairs, H.E. Sheikh Abdulla Ali Khalifa Mohammad Al-Khalifa.

During the meetings it was ratified the mutual satisfaction for the level reached in the bilateral relations and they also explored ideas to consolidate and develop them in different issues of mutual interest.

As part of its visit, the Cuban Delegation met the Cuban Medical Team which is currently working in the Kingdom, and took part as well in the Cuban group debate of the Constitution draft of the Republic of Cuba.
