Cuban Consulate in Toronto participates in the opening of the Toronto Latin American Film Festival.

With the presence of members of the Latin American consular corps and Joe Mihevc, Toronto City Councilman, this important event of the seventh art was inaugurated.


The evening featured the presentation of feature and short films that celluloid lovers will be able to enjoy during three weekends in October.


Cuba was present at the inauguration, where in coordination with its organizer Oscar Vigil, (executive director of the Hispanic Heritage Council of Canada (HCHC), a Cuban stand was set up to promote the beauty and values of our destination that make #CubaUnica through the tourism section.


For his part, the Consul General of Cuba in Toronto, in his speech, stressed the importance of holding these events for the dissemination of our roots, wealth and strength of Latin culture.


With a varied proposal of different Latin American filmmakers, Cuba will have its space in person with the feature film "Cuentos de un día más" by director Fernando Pérez and virtually with "La caja negra" by director Kiki Álvarez.
