Cuban culture day is celebrated in Canada.

Ottawa, October 27, 2021 - On Wednesday afternoon, the Cuban Embassy in Canada celebrated the Day for Cuban Culture, dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Words to Intellectuals, the 120th anniversary of the José Martí National Library of Cuba, the bicentennial of the birth of Francisco Vicente Aguilera and the 100th anniversary of the birth of the poet and essayist Cintio Vitier.

During the evening, verses were recited by the National Poet of Cuba, Nicolás Guillén; the Press and Cultural Attaché of the mission, Aileén Carmenaty, interpreted "La Bayamesa" by Carlos Manuel de Céspedes and the poet José Fornaris, and a material prepared by the Ministry of Culture was projected, summarizing the main events held during the day of Cuban Culture.
