Nigeria, December 30, 2022. With great Cuban pride, the headquarters of the Cuban diplomatic mission in Abuja, Nigeria, celebrated the 64th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution.
After singing the notes of the national anthems of both nations, the Cuban ambassador in that country, Clara M. Pulido Escandell, thanked the presence of numerous friends of Cuba and highlighted the very good relations that the bilateral relations between Cuba and Nigeria are experiencing, amplified at different levels and multiple areas. She also recognized the growing link with Nigerian universities, particularly with the University of Abuja, where in November of this year, the legacy of our Commander in Chief Fidel Castro was commemorated in a solemn and patriotic act.
The Cuban diplomat also referred to the numerous expressions of friendship and solidarity received from the trade union movement and the Nigerian solidarity movement with Cuba, which have unconditionally accompanied the Island to the fight against the Yankee genocidal blockade. The moment was propitious to reiterate the gratitude to Nigeria for supporting the Cuban Resolution against this US policy of economic, financial and commercial war, presented within the framework of the United Nations and also in the African Union, where once again unanimously they demand an end to the blockade.
Present at the ceremony were the Regional Director of the Nigerian Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Mustapha Tunde Mukaila, the director for the Americas and the Caribbean, Ambassador Jane Adams. Also a representation of the diplomatic corps accredited in the country, including its dean, Cameroonian ambassador, Salaheddine Abbas Ibrahim; friends of Cuba such as the Yoruba princess, Ebunoluwa Oladunni, as well as representatives of universities, the trade union movement, the Nigerian solidarity movement with Cuba, graduates on the island and Cuban residents in Nigeria.
In this way, the group of the Cuban embassy in Nigeria, together with a large group of friends from our country, says goodbye to an arduous period of work in 2022 and prepares to continue conquering new achievements for our Homeland and for our people in tune with the historical moment we are living and at the height of the 64th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution. #JuntaryVencer.
