Cuban diplomats visited the city of New Plymouth.

New Plymouth, March 19. From March 17 to 19, Ambassador Edgardo Valdés and Consul Dalila Vázquez visited this city, to support the Cuban representation at the WOMAD festival and hold meetings with different personalities.

In addition to attending the presentations by Cimafunk and his group, they had a brief meeting with Vice Prime Minister Carmel Sepuloni, in charge of the official opening of the event.

On the other hand, the Ambassador had a working lunch with the member of Parliament Angela Roberts, co-chair of the Parliamentary Group of Friendship with Latin America and the Caribbean.

At the meeting, they exchanged about the situation in Cuba, bilateral relations, and ways to bring our countries and New Zealand closer through the work of the parliamentary group.

As part of the trip, the consul met with a Cuban nurse living in Whanganui.
