Cuban Embassy pays tribute to Gandhi.

The Cuban Embassy visited the National Gandhi Museum, dedicated to the life and work of Mahatma Gandhi, leader of the Indian independence movement. As part of the visit, they held a meeting with Tara Gandhi Bhattacharjee, director of the Museum and Gandhi's granddaughter, with whom they exchanged and agreed on the universal and humanist scope of his figure, an example for those who aspire to a fairer world for all.

The Cuban diplomatic group, headed by Ambassador Alejandro Simancas Marín, also paid tribute to the great Indian leader by laying a wreath at the Gandhi memorial, where he was cremated after his death in 1948.
