Cuban Embassy present at the 62nd anniversary of Trinidad and Tobago's independence.

Port of Spain, August 31, 2024. The Cuban Ambassador, Gustavo Veliz Olivares, was pleased to attend the official activities celebrating the 62nd anniversary of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago's independence. 

During his participation in the event, he extended congratulations and exchanged greetings with high-ranking officials of the sister Caribbean nation, including Her Excellency Christine Carla Kangaloo, President; Dr. The Honorable Keith Rowley, Prime Minister; The Honorable Senator Paula Gopee-Scoon, Minister of Trade and Industry; and The Honorable Terrence Deyalsingh, Minister of Health.

Congratulations from President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermúdez and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, were also conveyed through the Foreign Ministry to their respective counterparts, the President, the Prime Minister, and the Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs. 

The Cuban Ambassador was accompanied by Minister Counselor Gilda López Mestre.
