The Cuban Embassy in Zimbabwe Commemorates Africa Day

This May 25 marks the 57th anniversary of the creation of the Organization for African Unity, which has become the African Union. The Embassy of Cuba in Zimbabwe congratulates this date and highlights its special relevance because it marks the 40th anniversary of the Independence of Zimbabwe and the 40th anniversary of the establishment of Diplomatic Relations of both countries.

Zimbabwe is a beautiful country of very nice, kind, supportive and caring people. Most of the population is of Shona origin and the second largest ethnic group is the Ndebele. In the Ndebele region is located one of the wonders of nature, considered a World Heritage Site which are the Victoria Falls, this is the main tourist center of the country, where around 1 million people come annually and is the pride of Zimbabwe.
