Cuban feature film "Cuentos de un día más" presented in Toronto

Along with a varied proposal of different Latin American filmmakers, Cuba had its space at the Toronto Latin American Film Festival with the feature film "Cuentos de un Día Más", by renowned director Fernando Pérez.

After 8 years of the Festival and under the spot of the tourist campaign Cuba Única, the Consul General, Jorge Yanier Castellanos Orta, highlighted the importance of these scenarios for the preservation of Latin American culture and paid a well-deserved tribute to Ché on the 55th anniversary of his assassination, as one of the greatest sons of our America.

The Consul of Cuba thanked the organizers of the event for their invitation, especially Oscar Vigil, executive director of the Canadian Council on Hispanic Heritage.

The screening of the feature film was attended by members of the "Juan Gualberto Gómez" Association of Cubans living in Toronto, friends of solidarity and lovers of Cuban cinema.

The press media "El Correo", aimed at the Latino community in Canada, emphasized Cuba's participation and contribution to this celebration of the Seventh Art.
