Cuban film festival in India.

The Cuban film festival was inaugurated yesterday with the presentation of the film "Innocence" at the "Marwah Studios" in Noida, a city in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.  The inauguration was attended by Sandeep Marwah, director of the Institution and also producer, film director and President of Noida Film City, who said he was honored by the possibility of sharing and making available to the Indian public the Cuban culture through its cinema and reaffirmed his willingness to continue working to strengthen cultural relations between the two countries and establish cooperation that allows the realization of mutual productions.

The Cuban Ambassador, Alejandro Simancas, thanked "Marwah Studios" and its President for organizing the event and stressed the importance of knowledge of the history, culture and reality of Cuba to continue bringing closer the peoples of India and Cuba and strengthen the ties of friendship and cooperation that we share.

The inauguration was attended by dozens of art and film students, who established a dialogue and exchange with the Cuban diplomat on the culture, cinematography and history of the Island.

The exhibition includes four films, among them Habanastation, Contigo pan y cebolla, and Cuba Libre!, which will be shown over the next few days and will be attended not only by the general public, but also by many art and film students interested in broadening their vision and learning about Cuban and Latin American cinematography.
