Wellington, October 12, 2015. The Cuban film "The Booby Prize," fiction film produced in 2009 under the direction of Juan Carlos Cremata, was the movie selected to start the Latin American cinema session on October the 9thin the town of Ashhurst, located in the New Zealand city of Palmerston North.
The Ashhurst Community Library, venue of this event, was attended by a large group of spectators, fans of Cuban cinema and culture, who along with representatives of the Embassy, shared an evening full of Cuban identity.
Until the 24th of October, the public from Palmerston North will be able to attend the other 12 films from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Mexico, Peru, Spain, Uruguay, and Venezuela.
Now in its 14thedition, the festival will also be present in Wellington, Auckland, Hamilton, New Plymouth, Birkenhead, Hutt Valley, Wanganui and in Apia, capital of Samoa. Embacuba New Zealand
