Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez today condemned the violent actions of anti-Cuban sectors in Miami during the peaceful day against the blockade and for peace, held by the Alianza Martiana Coalition.
In his X account, Rodriguez denounced that those sectors once again echoed hatred and aggression. “It is evident which is the side of those who love and found,” he stressed in the platform.
The Martiana Coalition, together with the Antonio Maceo Brigade, the José Martí Cultural Association and the Bolivarian Circle of Miami, gathered this Saturday to remember the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, in an act that joined the international call of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) for peace, against the blockade and terrorism.
However, according to press reports, the activity was violently interrupted by a group of counterrevolutionaries, which required the intervention of the Miami police.
According to veteran Cuban journalist Max Lesnik, based in the U.S. city, “this is not the first time that these right-wing extremist Cubans (...) use violence as a fascist method to attack those of us who are fighting the civic battle against the anti-Cuban measures of the U.S. government in power, especially against the blockade”.
In Lesnik's opinion, “desperate in the face of the failure of their anti-Cuban activities, they have no other recourse but to resort to violence and insults”.
