Wellington, November 5. Cuban FM Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla extended its cordial congratulations to the FM of New Zealand, H.E Nanaia Mahuta for her appointment, and expressed its willingness to "continue expanding the ties of friendship and cooperation between our countries."
Cuba and New Zealand share broad coincidences on many issues on the international agenda and the New Zealand government supports General Assembly resolution 74/7 against the blockade.
Their most recent response to the UN Secretary General regarding that matter stated: “The Government of New Zealand has consistently supported General Assembly resolutions calling for an end to the trade embargo against Cuba. We reiterate those calls.”
