Cuban government grants Liberian authorities scholarships in medicine.

Monrovia, June 7, 2023 - The Cuban Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera officially handed over this morning to the Liberian authorities two scholarships granted by the Cuban government for students from that West African country to study Medicine at the Latin American School of Medicine (ELAM) in the 2024 academic year.

The modalities to study Medicine in Cuba have a duration of 6 years, to complete the academic formation of the students.

Cuba is recognized worldwide for the excellence of its university faculties. One of the main reasons why the medical system in Cuba has been praised worldwide is because it offers free and quality services to all citizens and access to health is a fundamental human right.
