Monrovia, February 15, 2022.- Together with members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Liberia, special guests and members of the Cabinet of the African country, the Head of Mission of Cuba in Liberia participated in the official ceremony of the reopening of the Executive Mansion.
This ceremony is part of the events to be held during the commemoration of Liberia's Bicentennial.
The Executive Mansion of Liberia is the official residence and workplace of the president of the country. It was built during the presidency of William Tubman, which lasted from 1944 to 1971.
A fire destroyed the Executive Mansion on July 26, 2006, six months after the inauguration of former President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf. Since 2006, the Executive Mansion has been out of service.
