Cuban Head of Mission holds exchange with Ambassador of Culture of Liberia.

Monrovia, September 9, 2023 - Cuban Chief of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera held a fraternal meeting with Traditional Queen Juli Endee, Ambassador of Culture of the Republic of Liberia, with whom she exchanged on cultural identity, traditions, and the possibility of building cultural bridges between the two nations.

Liberia's traditions are unique among African states because it was founded by freed slaves from the American South, bringing with them their own culture and displacing ancient tribes that had farmed the land and traded with European enclaves in West Africa for centuries.

The diverse tribal ethnicities that make up Liberia's population today have added to the richness of the country's cultural life.
