Monrovia, April 26, 2021 - In the framework of the celebration of the 47th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations Cuba-Liberia, the Cuban Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera was invited to the Chancellery of the African country where she held a cordial meeting with the Deputy Minister of International Cooperation and Economic Integration Honorable Abraham K. Korvah.
During the pleasant exchange, the Liberian diplomat expressed his gratitude for the scholarships granted by Cuba to train human resources and emphasized his wishes that such bilateral cooperation be maintained and diversified.
For her part, the Cuban diplomat expressed the Cuban government's interest in strengthening the ties of cooperation between both nations and diversifying areas of cooperation for the benefit of both peoples.
The head of mission Martínez Herrera also expressed her gratitude for the support of the Liberian government in the African Union and the United Nations for the Cuban resolution against the U.S. economic, commercial and financial blockade against the Greater Antilles.
The meeting took place in a pleasant and cordial atmosphere where the good relations existing between the two governments were evidenced.
