Monrovia, July 10, 2024. - At the invitation of Liberia's Minister of Agriculture, Cuban Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera participated in the Launching of the National Agricultural Development Plan 2024-2030 by Liberian President Joseph Boakai at the Ministerial Complex Theater.
Among other things, the six-year plan promises to revitalize Liberia's agricultural sector, including improving its self-sufficiency in food production.
Speaking at the launching program, the Liberian leader urged Liberians to embrace the call to revolutionize Liberia's agricultural sector and also live it.
The National Agricultural Development Plan is a policy framework aimed at harnessing Liberia's enormous agricultural potential and leading it from a world of need to a world of plenty to reduce its over-dependence on food imports.
